My Story and Mission
Simply Drumming with Jill was created in 2017 to share a love for Scottish drumming and the pipe band community.
I offer specialised individual tuition for children age 7 and above and adults, focusing on snare drum skills. Each pupil will be given free access to "Ensemble", a web based program for all sections of the pipe band and a great help to students of any age who are learning.
In addition to lessons, I manufacture 'affordable' drum practice pads and other handmade craft products that resonate with our culture.

Some of my pupils from 11 years ago playing for Deeside Caledonia Pipe Band, 4 of the 5 are still playing. Matthew is currently playing with Buchan Grade 2, Sophie no longer plays, Callum is now Leading Drummer for Texo Deeside Caledonia, Hannah & Kirsten are also there. Kirsten spent a few years playing lead for City of Aberdeen pipe band before returning to Deeside at the end of 2024. Very proud of their achievements and they are all are very good drummers.
